without health insurance? I don’t see that the dept of health does this service.
Answer:
Did you contact the health dept and specifically ask? There are resources for breast and cervical cancer screening available in Ga. You might also try contacting St. Mary's or Athens Regional Medical Center; ask for their radiology dept and request to talk with a financial counsellor. They might be willing to work with you on a reduced cost mammogram or at the least an acceptable payment plan. Our radiology dept does those things all the time.
