i am doing a science fair project about skin, need help!!!

You need to do a lot more research than Yahoo Answers. Some skin cancers such as squamous and basal cell cancers can be removed and may never come back. Other skin cancers, such as melanoma, can be fatal. It affects people of all races and genders, although fair-skinned, light complected people are the most prone.

You will find this link very intersting that repeated exposure to heat can cause skin cancer. It can cause pernament redness (erythema), skin atrophy(thin skin), skin lesions and in worse case scenarios death many years later. People used to get this from sitting to close to fires and recently people have been getting this from putting laptops on their laps too long. The heat from the batteries toasts their skin. I have this condition from working in a foundry. I do not have cancer (at least not yet :) )
