Ok, i checked my testicles today and i notice on the very bottom of my right testicle there is a round bump seemingly attached to it. Again, it's not actually on my testicle but kinda attached to it..hard to explain. So what could this be?

Answer:
go to the doctor. this is tell-tale sign. Sooner the better. they need to look at it to diagnose for sure, but this is something to be concerned about.

Answer:
Hello,

I think you are feeling the 'tail' of your right epididymis, (pronounced eppee- DIDD'' - ee- miss), I'm afraid there isn't a common name. There might be a cyst in it.

Each testis has a 'stick-on attachment' called an epididymis. It is attached on one side and runs in the up-down direction, like a line of longitude. It consists of one length of tightly-coiled tubing, which carries newly-made sperm from the 'head' or top of the epididymis, down to the 'tail' or bottom of the epididymis, then 'out' totally up the 'vas' tube on each side and up into the groin.

It sounds like you may have a small 'epididymal cyst' filled with fluid, at the lower end, or tail, or lower pole of the epididymis (these descriptions are identical). Alternatively, it might be a small inflammatory lump, although you do not describe any pain.

Cysts are not usually anything to worry about, but I should get it looked at. An inflammatory lump might need antibiotics.

I hope this is of some help.

Ideal wishes,

Belliger (retired uk gp)
