I've had a swollwn gland in my neck since July. I went to the doctor a few times and she thought it was allergy related. well finally last month they wanted to run a CT scan on it. It came back as over 2 cm plus other enlarged lymph nodes in my neck. However, the following day I went to see a general surgeon about a possible biopsy, and he couldnt feel the other glands in my neck and the gland that was over 2 cm had shrunk and in his own words he said it wasnt " very impressive" of a gland. He rescheduled me for next Monday. That gland has actually almost completely disappeared after 6-7 months, and I think thats a good sign because I don't believe cancer can shrink on its own, but I can still feel other small lymph nodes in my neck, and Im still worried. Like I said this all dates back to July if I had cancer would I be showing signs by now? I haven't been sick at all other than one cold. My friends think I'm over-reacting and believe I'm fine. Im 21 years old, and just looking 4 help

dont worry im sure you havent got cancer!lots of people get enlarged lymph nodes in the neck exspecially men,glands can go up and down like the weather,changing my 13 year ol has enlarged lymph nodes in the neck and has had scans ect,but its nothing to worry about try stop thinking about it for a while and think of nice things,your going to make yourself ill worrying like this,if the doctor thought anything sinister they would have had you in pronto!take care x

It good to over react especially when your health is at stake.If you have no other signs or symptoms you are probably fine.Just have your doctor keep watch in case it acts up again.Always safer to be cautious in the long run.
