my boyfriend has always had a small mole on his right cheek. and recently it has developed a red bump. the bump looks care about it has developed right under the mole itself. he’s seeing a dermatologist tomorrow but i am just wondering what advice and ideas yahoo! answers has for me. thank you for any input!
Answer:
I think the only good answer/idea anyone here could possibly have is that he’s doing what needs to be done. A dermatologist needs to get close up and personal for a diagnosis. Whatever it is, it isn't normal and will probably be removed. It will then be tested for malignancy and if positive then other treatments will follow. But, and it's a big but - nobody get too excited or worried until the doc has a chance to look. Could be just an irritated mole, one that needs checking out. Let's hope for good news, not bad! Good luck to the both of you.
Answer:
Well, The increase in the number of moles is a risk factor for malignant melanoma, a skin cancer the most dangerous, the researchers stress.

Possibly, but if that's the only symptom, it might not be. If you see more symptoms that match those on the site, then seeing a physician really is a good idea. Hope this helps.
