my friend found out that her grandma has cancer last night. her cousin has been here for about 2 weeks now and they will be here for another month or so, because my mom told me that that is how long they told her that she has to live. her cousin told me and my other neighbor that we’ve to be there to support her because he has gone through this so many times it is hard for him to go through it again. so how do i help support and comfort her in the next month?
Answer:
My younger sisters had cancer and the thing that helped me the most through it was my friends. Just be there for her, weather it be to talk,go out to get her mind of things, or just chill. Neverrrrr state ” it's ok things will be alright.” or “i'm sorry, i know how you feel” Those are both nice things to state, but are far from the truth. She'll probably have a lot of mood swings and not really be herself because its such a emontional time for her and her family. The best advice I have the ability to give is to just listen to her and make sure that she knows you’re there for her, not matter what. I hope this helps! Ideal wishes to you and your friend.

You can help and support this person by always keeping a positive attitude. Save the tears for later. When you're with her, try some craft work, like making a scrap book, having her teach you a craft from her childhood, or just speaking. You might want to start taking pictures of her doing different things, and later put them together in a scrapbook of your own. These are great coping tools for you.Remember, this is going to be a difficult time in everyone's life, but your attitude is the most important thing.
