I've had swollen lymph glands in my throat for about 4 months. They are mainly on the left side and sometimes my neck and ear ache. I also have a small hardish lump (1cm painless and immobile) on my neck behind the heel of my jaw which I’m concerned about. I've had a blood test and doc states there are a small number of abnomal cells - I've also had a throat swab which was normal. Doc says it's probably nothing to worry about but I've been referred to a haematologist. I also clench my jaw at night which leads to pain on the left side (I have a bite plate for this) - I'm wondering if the two might be connected?

Answer:
See if the ENT specialist will do a needle biopsy. It is harmless and quick.

Answer:
Don't listen to the doc - mine said that my swollen nodes were nothing to be concerned about too, 3 different docs, for 6 months. I had thyroid cancer that spread to my lymph nodes in my neck and in my chest.

Ask for an ultrasound of the lymph nodes, and the lump behind your jaw. If this doc won't order it, go see an ENT (ear nose and throat) doctor - they will take it more seriously.

Answer:
the symptoms you’ve described also go along with “cat scratch fever” most people don't get fevers. try detoxing your body (u can find this at an herbal store) also if you clench ur jaw make sure to wear you bite plate b/c even tho it wouldn't be causing the inflamation in the lymph nodes it does cause more discomfort to that area.
