Lumpectomy PLEASE HELP?

rnn1. how long did the operation take
rnn2.where u asleep or awake
rnn3.if they put u to sleep how did they put you to sleep
rnn4. how long did you stay in hospital
rnn5. did they give you any needles or hook you to a machine after it
rnn6.how bad was the scar after it
rnn7. did ur boob smaller after the operation or did it stay the same

Answer:
My lumpectomy was on the right side, it was a 2.1 cm lump - which is fairly small.

rnn1. the operation was about 1 1/2 hours
rnn2. asleep
rnn3. general anesthesia - through an IV
rnn4. didn't stay overnight. it was an outpatient surgery. the surgery was early in the morning - at about 8:30 am and I was home and in my own bed by 6:00 that evening
rnn5. before the surgery you’re put on an IV and given saline solution for fluids. you’re also given a medicine to rest you thru this same IV. additionally you are given your anesthesia to put you to sleep during this procedure thru the same IV. After the surgery they remove the IV.
rnn6. the scar from the lumpectomy disappeared over time. the physician did the incision right around my areola.
rnn7. slightly smaller. but no big deal.
rnn8. yes, there are stiches around the incision, but these dissolve and disappear within a couple of weeks as well, as you heal
