because my moms mom has it now she is 72 or 73 years old and my mom is really sad i asked this Q before and most said its deadly but is it as deadly as cancer is their anyway she can get better and she is in the hospital right now please answer

Answer:
Yes, you can survive it. My grandfather recovered from it twice, and he was older than that.

Answer:
It is by far NOT deadly.

In and of itself, that is.

If your mom has been a chronic smoker and has other respiratory conditions (such as COPD, etc), or if she is immunocomprimised (for example, has cancer or other bacterial infections) then it could tip the scales if they are already teetering.

Generally speaking, depends on the health condition of your mom. But just pneumonia itself is not deadly.

Answer:
Yes pneumonia can be deadly; it is very treatable though and most patients do not die from it. The elderly do have more risk though. Good luck and God bless.

Answer:
Lots of people get pneumonia and recover completely.

Answer:
Calm down it isn't deadly….although due to the age of the patient other factors need to be considered…but it alone will not kill you……. Best Wishes…..

Answer:
It depends upon the health of the individual and severity of the case whether they can overcome pneumonia. Of course, pneumonia in an older adult or infant is more dangerous than it is to a young healthy adult. Hopefully, your mother is receiving excellent care in the hospital and I pray for her recovery.

Answer:
Most cases of pneumonia can be treated without hospitalization. Typically, oral antibiotics, rest, fluids, and home care are sufficient for complete resolution. However, people with pneumonia who are having trouble breathing, people with other medical problems, and the elderly may need more advanced treatment. If the symptoms get worse, the pneumonia does not improve with home treatment, or complications occur, the person will often have to be hospitalized.

Answer:
I recommend taking digestive enzymes such as Similase and performing an inexpensive gastric acid self-test.

Answer:
