Answer:
Most lumps in the testicles - over 95% - are not cancerous; cancerous lumps are not usually painful.
Testicular cancer is fairly rare, and occurs most often in men aged 20 - 49. The chances of it happening at 13 are extremely low.
If the websites you looked at were responsible and trustworthy information sites, they would have told you what I just have. Perhaps you were so anxious you overlooked it.
Talked to your mom or father about this; if you don't feel comfortable doing that, talk to your school nurse or your physician.
Answer:

Answer:
Could be a tumor. I had testicular cancer when i was 18. I had a big mass that was somewhat painful/uncomfortable when touched. You need to make an appointment with a physician ASAP as if it is a cancerous tumor, the sooner it is removed, the less chance that it spreads out from the testicle and into your abdomen. The doctor will schedule a ultrasound which will help them learn more about the mass. If they think it may be cancer, they’ll remove your testicle and send it and the mass for a biopsy. If caught early, even if it is cancer, by removing the testicle the cancer will be cured and you’ll not need any radiation or chemo therapy. It all sounds pretty bad but it really isn't a huge deal. If your testicle gets removed, you will be in pain for about 2-3 weeks after the surgery however afterwards you will have a healthy and normal sex life and women will not be able to tell that you only have one testicle unless they are really groping you down there. Testicular cancer has an over 97% survival rate and only those who wait too long and have it spread outside the testicle can fall into the unfortunate 3%. I’m now 29 and have 3 other friends who have since also had testicular cancer. It is by far the most common cancer for men 12-35 years of age and although you might be scared, you need not worry. Even if it turns out to be testicular cancer, do not “freak out” as it should be more viewed as a easy surgery like have your tonsils removed then what you think of when you think of needing treatment for “cancer”. So best case scenario it is nothing and the doctor will send you on your way and worst case scenario you have the surgery and 2 months from now, you will be perfectly fine and your life will be completely unaffected. The only bummer is that a lot of the time they’ve to remove the testicle to find out if the tumor is cancerous or not so i guess in some cases, guys have to lose a nut and it turns out to no be cancer. So even if they tell you they need to remove your testicle, it doesn't necessarily mean that you’ve cancer. Any other guys reading this, i'd encourage you next time you’re in the shower, to give your boys a squeeze and if you feel any lumps or discomfort, go to you physician. I actually read an article in Maxim magazine entitled “Am I going to die?” back in 2000 that included doing a self testicular examination which is how i discovered mine and it may have saved my life. As i already mentioned, if you catch it while it is contained in the testicle before it spreads, there’s pretty much no chance of death.
