Instead of painkillers, try going to a therapist or something like that. Painkillers can be addictive and can have harmful health effects on you.
Answer:
well, my first question is why are you taking them? You posted under "cancer" so I assume it's for pain related to your cancer…??? If so, what are you going to do for pain relief if you go off your painkillers???
My second question is what painkillers are you taking? What dose(s), and how long have you been taking them??
This is something you should discuss with your Dr as some painkillers can cause serious complications if withdrawn too quickly (like seizures). Also, if you still have pain you'll need to discuss with your Dr how you're going to control the pain.
Sorry, I can't answer your question….please check with your Dr.
Good Luck to you!

I know the very best place to go to do this. Its a website for people that have problems with pain meds. There are even professionals on there that would give you a tapering program. Its like a real family on this site. Please give it a try. There is a link there specifically dealing with pain meds.
