I’ve had thyroid problems since I was five. She said the normal hormone levels are 1-4 and mine is 19 currently. Could you please tell me what kind of levels are prevalent if you have cancer? I don't even know if this question makes sense. I'm just kind of scared, I'm only fourteen after all. Thank you

Answer:
First of all you’ll not know if you’ve thyroid cancer unless you see your physician and have tests done to rule it out. Your thyroid levels are not normal so you need treatment of some kind. I’ve thyroid disease and my mom, sister and brother (his was cancer) have all had growths on their thyroid. They’d them removed and are doing fine. If you let it go, you increase your chances of complications. Thyroid cancer is usually never fatal unless left untreated for years. FYI, my brother had his thyroid removed last year, had to have no further treatment because his was caught early and went back to work three days after his surgery. Good luck and just follow your physicians instruction. Try not to be scared, it really is an simple procedure and the sooner you get it taken care of the better.
