There is no clinical or scientific evidence that indicates that nalgene bottles cause cancer (do you know anyone who has gotten cancer from drinking from these bottles?). This is considered an Internet based urban legend or mythology with no basis in scientific fact.

There is a recent report in Canada that a sporting goods store has stopped selling the bottles due to this .. however there is no clinical evidence to back up their decision.
