I think these medicines are good at buying us time for now, while we do research into stem cells and more intensive therapies.
For example they have the ability to destroy all the bone marrow and then use stem cells to replace it. These invasive therapies are the way forward in my thought, better than wonder drugs. The problem for cancer is that the cancer cells are too similar to healthy cells.
