Lithium is known to have a negative effect on libido and may be a cause of erectile dysfunction. Libido reduction and erectile dysfunction effects are common with anti-manic drugs and is perhaps a natural by product of suppressing that feelgood factor. Lithium is an anti-manic drug (but it is also an anti-depressant).

WHO defines sterility based on sperm count. Lithium does not affect sterility from that aspect. Alternatively, sterility might be considered the “inability to produce offspring”, i.e. male fertility. Since both libido and erectile dysfunction have their part to play in the normal ability to produce offspring, lithium might be considered to have some effect on the probability of a couple to have kids if the man is on such a treatment.

You'll have to make up your mind if any of this answers your question.
