My grandfather supposedly has a very rare form of cancer. I say 'supposedly' because I am not completely sure on this fact. I have been told that he is taking a pill that costs $5,000 dollars per time that he takes it. I know that treatment can be very expensive, but I'm not sure if one pill would truly cost this much. He has renal cell carcinoma. So the question to the doctors out there~ is this plausible for the treatment to cost this much for this type of cancer?

Answer:
Oh yeah, very possible. When it comes to cancer treatment, everything is expensive like that. My monthly meds total about 10,000 right now before insurance and I am in post treatment only.

Answer:
Its possible depending on the treatment
