Cervical Cancer?

rnnI’m really scared my pap smear came back “ABNORMAL” and i am getting a biopsy.
rnnWHAT ARE THE CHANCES I HAVE CANCER???

When I was around 17 I had an abnormal pap. They came back and did a biopsy at a gynecologists office instead of the Health Dept. and it was Dysplasia. Basically what it is , is pre-cancer. That just means that the cells are abnormal and if I would have left it as is I could have developed cancer. They caught it in the 1st stage and I had to have my cervix froze. It wasn't that bad. It was really cold and it caused some cramping from the cold but after a few days I was right as rain and all other paps have come back normal. I just turned 30. I was really scared at that time also, I just kept thinking the worst. Not sure how old you are or if you get pelvic exams each year but chances are that whatever it is they caught it before it is too serious.

Hi i had that you probably have cancer or the begin of it i did 15 years ago i'm still here ljust be positive about the fact that cancer won’t kill you and you’re strong and all will be fine. If you worry and get depressed you will only get worse i hope it all goes ok i will hold good thought for you you will be fine.

Did you repeat the PAP? After my first baby, my PAP came back abnormal and I learned this is not unheard of after a baby. I was fine on the second (repeat) PAP.

rnnI would repeat the PAP first, it is fast and easy, and can rule out a false positive.
