Cervical cancer??

Author: admin

A friend of mine has to have a biopsy done in about a month and she's super nervous. She said the doctor says that when they take a piece of her cervix out(the possibly cancerous part) that the cervix will regenerate it self making whole again and generally the cancerous cells will be gone. Is this true and if so how long does it take for it to regenerate?

Answer:
A biopsy is to find out IF she has cervical cancer….it is a diagnostic test. She has abnormal cells, they are not always cancerous, HPV can cause abnormal cells on a Pap. There’s lots of information available on cervical cancer, HPV, and abnormal pap results on the internet….that is the ideal place for you to find answers. Look at reptuable sites like WebMD, National Institue of Health, American Cancer Society, etc
