okay so this day i was reading the paper and some scientists found 8 genes that contribute to the most common type of brain cancer in kids i will re-write it for you:
A team at Toronto's hospital for sick kids has found 8 genes that are mutated it kids with the cancer medulloblastoma . Its a discovery researchers hope will lead to superior treatments for the most common type of childhood brain cancer. Principal researcher Dr. Michael Taylor says the genetic mutation causes some cells in the brain to keep multiplying so they have the ability to create a tumour. About 60 percent of children diagnosed with this type of brain tumour survive at least 5 years but are often left with disabilities from both the cancer itself and the treatments. Taylor states the next step is to look for drugs that would target the mutated genes and turn off abnormal cell growth.

I myself have friends and family members that had cancer. Sometimes you can prevent it sometimes you can fight it off. My family had discovered great help in herbs. Some people are against herbs, thinking that the medicine in herbs isn’t strong enough…they might have a point, but sometimes it works and I would always give a try.

That's good . .but there are thousands upon thousands of these types of 'discoveries' happening all the time all around the world depending upon the type of cancer. Or as my sons doctor used to state . . we know how to kill the cancer we just don't know how to keep the patient alive while we are doing it.
