I have this science project i have to do and i need to know the awnser to can you live without your lymph nodes? I need a full detail answer so that i can make a good grade on a poster i have to make. I'm not doing so hott in science right now so the better grade i get well the better. I need to do better in science so you would help me a great deal if you answered my question. Thank you and God Bless.

Yes and No.

Can you live if you have no lymph nodes? No

Can you live if you have some removed? Yes

Had a few in my neck removed for biopsy purposes…..still alive so yes. But as a whole they are vital to your health/life.

I had 21 lymph nodes removed from under my arm during breast cancer surgery and, though this doesn't happen to everyone who has some removed, I have lymphoedema as a result - a swollen arm because of a. build up of lymph fluid which cannot drain away properly because of the absence of lymph nodes.
