I heard that if you over exercise you can develop cancer. I can' provide my source but thats what I heard.

Answer:
Hi Minicruzer. You are asking a very interesting question. I don't think the other answerers appreciate that you are asking about OVER-exercising.

First, I have not seen any specific research on this issue, so I am presenting a simple hypothesis based on known concepts about exercise and carcinogenesis (the process of cancer formation).

Exercise can produce high levels of oxidative stress (reactive oxygen species) in the body. Excessive exercise can produce very high levels of oxidative stress.

Oxidative stress is a known, major player in carcinogenesis because it can lead to the type of damaged DNA that is known to occur in many cancers. So, there is a clear mechanism that might connect these two issues. However, without appropriate clinical research to document the correctness of this hypothesis, it must remain simply that - a reasonable hypothesis.

Best wishes and good luck.

Answer:
that sounds like a total lie. cancer is caused by smoking cigerettes, drinking and other NOT healthy activities.

over exercizing and under eating is unhealthy, but just as long as you are getting enough vitamins, i'm sure that exercising is fine.

Answer:
That is not true. Exercising is something that can make a person healthy.

Answer:
There is no clinical scientific evidence that over exercising causes human beings to have cancer. You were misinformed. You can check any type of claim like this at the National Library of Medicine online.

What you may have heard is that sometimes people break a bone while playing sports or exercising and than find out that they have bone cancer. What happens is that the cancer can erode the bone and cause it to break. It isn't the sport or exercise that causes this to happen, but the hidden cancer.

Answer:
That's really not the way to put it. You see, over exhertion from exercising can cause oxidative stress on the cells and the immune system. Remember, daily every cell in our body is individually attacked 10,000 times by free radicals, oxidants, carcinogens, toxins and viruses.

So naturally causing excessive stress on our system will make us more prone to contracting a complication.

The key is to maintain elevated levels of Glutathione at the cellular level. It's the cells natural defense mechanism and master antioxidant.
