I’ve a aggressive form of breast cancer and started chemotherapy a week ago this day. The only side effects I’ve had have I’ve been a little more exhausted than usual and my joints ached because of a side effect of a shot I had to bring up my white blood cells.
Several of my friends have told me to buy MonaVie. They swear by it. It is very pricey though.
I have been looking up info on the Acai, Goji and Noni fruits. Has any here heard that there berries actually causes adverse problems to the chemo therapy treatment. I want to keep my energy levels up during chemo and be able to function my normal life during that time.
Any ideas?
Answer:
I’m so sorry to hear about your cancer. and I advise that you try whatever you think will help. Chemotherapy is a very harsh treatment and it will be hard to keep up with your daily activities.
Answer:
It is very difficult to state that ONE fruit juice can give you all the beneficial nutrition that your body needs. The ones who see the most result with those types of juices and fruits are the ones who were especially deficient in those nutrition that the specific fruits provide. Your body needs many types of different vitamins and minerals, anti-oxidants, phytonutrients that are plant sourced. I’ve seen many who are facing cancer and are implementing a supplementation program along with chemo and radiation treatment from their physician. I would like to send more information to you over email if you would like to. please e-mail me because I’ve tons of information of what helped people with your situation. God bless!

Be very, very careful with what you read here on-line. When the word “cancer” is mentioned, the scammers come out from under their rocks large time! They all have one thing in common: “Give me your money for what I have or you will die without it” and the ever famous “trust me, I've been there, now just give me your money”. Please, please run anything you hear by your oncologist BEFORE you spend your money or otherwise get injured.
Answer:
Get a multi vitamin and vitamin b17 get monavie it's expensive but your life is priceless vitamin b17 fights cancer and the multi vitamin will keep you nourished also keep your white blood count up my prayers with you,
Answer:
I can't really help you much with your situation because I never went through breast cancer and chemo.
But let me tell you. I wouldn't mess with taking those kind of things, because who knows what they could do against your treatment.
Speak to your doctor about things you can do to feel more energetic, or make an appointment with a naturopathic doctor, or even a dietician. They could help you find solutions perfect for you, more than any average person on yahoo! answers can
Good luck. I'll be thinking of you.
edit: I read up on it, and gee, 45 dollars. It may not be a scam, but the price is:| I think you can get cheaper versions at like, a health store. Or even the real berry.
Answer:
Walk at least ten minutes a day, drink lots of water, and think positive thoughts.
My wife is going through it too in fact she had her last chemotherapy treatment tonight.
Her naturopatic doctor recommended a air purifier to help her with her mouth sores and it helped her to breath better and she got deeper sleep.
If you have any questions about things be sure to let your oncologist know they are a great resource and also the chemotherapy nurses.
You too can make it through, now we’ve to wait 9 days for it to start to leave her body.
But we made it through, next step: Radiation.
Your oncologist should know about that drink your friends swear by.

Hello Libra
I'm truly sorry to hear your news and send you my warmest wishes. I also want to tell you how much I admire your positive attitude. I don't know anything about the berries you mention or their affects on chemo but I found this link.
http://ezinearticles.com/?Goji-Juice-Sid…
even though I'm sure you'll have already seen it….
and having looked around a bit more I can't find anything that mentions adverse affects.
Blessings to you. Your courage makes me feel humble. x
Edit: Having just read some of the other answers, I don't feel comfortable with my answer anymore. I didn't want to ignore this question from a contact, but at the same time, I know totally nothing and you should take no notice whatsoever.
