what did the skin look like ? did it hurt to the touch and did it itch thankyou so uch all info greatly apprecated

Answer:
I had basal cell carcinoma on my face. It sometimes looked like a scratch, esp when it bled. Sometimes it looked like a scaly patch from a scab. It did itch (which is usually why it bled: I had scratched it in my sleep) and the pain was stinging at times, but not constant, nor was it unbearable.

If you suspect you have any of the various skin cancers, you should see your doctor and have them analyze the area and also perform a biopsy to test the affected skin cells.

Answer:
It was a mole that spread a little on one side. It looked like cake or brownie mix that I tried to rub off. It never hurt, bled, or itched. When I saw a picture of a melanoma, it looked just like mine. The dermatologist agreed & biopsied it.

Answer:
I had malignant melanoma on my arm. It was a normal looking mole, but then changed. It started changing in shape, and got darker. I had it about 1 year before it was removed. It did not hurt, but it had just become itchy before I had it removed.

I would not have left it alone, but the first Dr I went to said it was fine. One year later, a different Dr saw it and took it out!

It was more ugly than anything else, and I was totally shocked when they said it was cancer!

Two surgeries later, and I am fine!

Hope this helps :)
