i no it is possible for men to get breast cancer but is it possible for a 16 year old, male to get it, and what r the odds of getting it at this age
Answer:
Hello,
Not all swellings are cancer.
In adolescent boys going through 'puberty,' it is common for small 'breast buds' to develop under the nipple on one or both sides.
This is in response to the temporary production of a small amount of female hormone, as well as the big male hormone production which happens at this time. This female hormone production will cease, and the 'breast buds' will disappear.
It would be very rare for a 16-year old boy to get breast cancer.
I hope this of of some help. I think your physician would state exactly the same, if you asked him to look at the problem.
Best wishes,

Answer:
All humans of any age have the cells required to get breast cancer, so all humans can develop it. Before puberty, male and female breasts are (close to) identical.
It is much rarer among men, by about a factor of 100, due to the shear average quantities of breast cells compared to women. Furthermore, the largest male risk group is 60-70. So it would be extremely rare, but not impossible, for a 16 year old male to develop breast cancer.
Answer:
These days age should not be a considering factor, however unlikely it might sound. I’m 21 years old and was diagnosed with cancer a week ago.
If you’ve ANY indication that something is wrong or uncommon, GET IT CHECKED OUT BY A PHYSICIAN.
I was told I had a 99% chance for my tumor being benign, and it was malignant! make an appt with a doctor, what have u got to lose?
Answer:
The odds are as close to zero as it's possible to get.
It's largely a disease of ageing, and 80% of those diagnosed are over 50. People in their 20s and 30s account for only a small percentage of those diagnosed .
And over 99% of those diagnosed are female.
Answer:
Only about 1 in 20,000 women develop breast cancer at age 25 (it is nearly unheard of to get it before then) and less than 1% of all breast cancers occur in men, so your odds are about 1 in 6,000,000 at most.
Answer:
if men cant get it then what makes you think
a 16 yr old male can get it? hellloooo?
lol
